Open call: Science in Society
This call has a total budget of € 4 780 000 with one topic "SIS-2008-2.2.1.1 Innovative methods in science education". Consortia of at least at least 10 independent legal entities, established in at least 10 different Member States or Associated Countries are eligible to apply. This means that interested South African researchers / research institutions will have to find and join large consortia working in the relevant topic area(s). The following additional information was provided to National Contact Points: "For this call, there is no minimum number of proposals to be funded. This means that we could fund one project or several, depending on which projects get the best marks and the budget they request. Given, however, that the minimum number of participants for this call is 10 legal entities from the MS and AC, we expect the average size of a proposal to be bigger that a classical CSA (SA), where only one legal entity is required". Deadline for proposals is 24 July 2008.
