About ESASTAP

Strengthening Science, Research and Innovation Cooperation between Europe and South Africa (ESASTAP) was launched during the sixth European Union Framework Programme (the main EU funding instrument for research and innovation) to promote, facilitate and coordinate research, development and innovation (RDI) cooperation between South Africa and the European Union in areas of common interest. ESASTAP is a collaboration between the Department of Science and Innovation, partnering member states and the European Commission.
