The 13th EDCTP Forum will take place in Madrid, Spain, bringing together researchers, policymakers, funders, regulators, and research and development partners from Africa and Europe to discuss advances in global health research and innovation.
The Forum is organised by the Global Health European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (Global Health EDCTP3), a partnership between European and African countries that funds collaborative research to address infectious diseases and emerging health challenges affecting sub-Saharan Africa. The programme also supports capacity strengthening, research leadership, and equitable partnerships between African and European institutions.
Under the theme “Innovating together for resilient global health”, the Forum will provide a platform for scientific exchange, networking, and collaboration, featuring plenary sessions, scientific symposia, workshops, poster presentations, and the presentation of the EDCTP Prizes 2027.
The event is expected to attract approximately 1,500 participants from across Africa, Europe, and beyond, making it one of the leading global health research conferences focused on partnership-driven innovation and capacity development.
